So i went out and bought Crysis over COD4 at the moment. So far it seems pretty good and looks pretty good running it in DX9. It's complex, lots of weapon customizations, etc. So much to learn between that and the suit.

What do others think of Crysis, not the demo, the actual game. Thanks

I am enjoying the single player, that is up until the village where I am stuck with a not entirely uncommon problem. All my tasks are completed, all the enemies are dead, yet the game just hangs there and does not move on.... I read on the official forums, at *cough* EA, that more people are encountering the same problem. I have tried all the suggestions to get the game to continue but no luck.

Aside from that, the visuals are nice, and the weapons and suit are fun, but at this point, comparing it to COD4, I am suprisedly not that hot for the game. COD4 has me completely won over right now.

I've been playing since the start of the Beta, and I have to say I really love Crysis, but I believe it will really shine in a year or so when people have the hardware to play it to it's full potential. DirectX10 Servers for example make the game so much better (Time of Day making it so you need different strategies), and some nice destructibility.

The multiplayer may not be completely unique, but it does everything so well.

I've been playing mostly crysis wars since warhead came out, and I'm having a lot of fun. It kinda reminds me of the old HL days...The stealth suit can be frustrating, but I'm enjoying it overall.

Not all that thrilled with Crysis...sure, the graphics are spectacular, but the gameplay is linear and predictable. I just started the MP, and actually really like a few of the maps...Battleground in particular. The servers are sometimes difficult to find, however.

I'm waiting for Far Cry 2 and WaW...

Holy Forum revival batman. Crysis hasn't seemed to stand the test of time, but I'm wondering if they're are any admins out there still hosting crysis servers. I have yet to play Crysis multiplayer, but I'm hoping to give it a try if I still have a chance.

Crysis gets more play MP players per night than does Crysis Wars.

Crysis gets around 250 players a night on the servers (this is total worldwide) and on weekends it can peak to 500-750. This has been the case each time I looked at the stats. Graphics are cool but the game taxes many video cards out there. Hence, not played very much.

Yeah I know that not a lot of systems out there will be able to run this game like most people would like, but I'm more curious about the gameplay I guess. Obviously it's something that's based on opinion, but to me the sound of the power struggle mode sounds like a blast. I got really curious about it so I checked out gameservers forums, and the crysis thread is pretty active with admins asking questions.

What's the story of crysis wars? From what I understand it's a MP pack with some extra maps and games modes? Sounds like something that should be free...

ahh gotcha. Thanks for your help. Btw, dude4him, where were you able to get those stats? was it from something like gametrackers.com, or what?

I stream my servers to punksbusted.com AND pbbans.com which check each players game folder upon joining my server for files that are not supposed to be there such as hacks/cheats or misconfigured cvars (changing game settings to achieve an advantage over other players). One of the best features is they maintain a master ban list so if a player is banned from one pbbans server that ban will be put in punkbuster ban list on my server so if that player attempts to join my server he is kicked off immediately :)

If you sign up for the service in your account panel is the option make forum sigs for your account :)

Very nice, I'm currently an admin for 2 COD4 servers and I'm wanting to set them up so that they are streaming as well. I'm looking into Crysis as another game to play and potentially start a new division in my clan. Thanks for your quick responses and information.
