I can not get an rcon status command to work when the server has more than 18 clients in it..... I can use client kick, map switch and such but any command pertaining to user info does not work (such as dumpuser, status).
I am hoping that some else ran into this issue and has a fix for it, b/c I really want to run larger servers but if I can not get a staus command to work then there goes alot of my server control.
Hope that some one can help!!

Last I checked, this bug was not fixed. Occassionally you can lose all rcon response as well, but a reboot will fix that.

no a reboot does not fix this issue...I do not lose total rcon.... just status commands when the clients go over 18.....and status is a major part of police-ing servers

Hi all, I have the same problem. Status and dumpuser stop working after a certain number of players are in the server. The link above is not working, can anyone help please?

The problem is your router. I remember the link on CODadmin.com. The page isn't there anymore it seems. In summary, when your server gets over 17 players in it, it breaks the return data into two different packets. Your firewall doens't know how to reassemble the response from the server. Replace your router with a decent one (not Linksys) and that should solve your problem. I recommend a Netgear or better. You get what you pay for. I don't have this problem anymore. ;)

Maybe you could detail your setup that you are having trouble with. Personal firewalls should not be used on computers that sit behind a firewall/router.

Absolutely. I assumed you were running a hardware firewall. If you are running a software firewall, this still could cause your problem, but I would recommend you get a hardware solution and ditch the software...just my opinion. ;)
