I was a 1 prestige rank 23 and went into a dedicated server that apparently was a hacked server. 1 kill maxed me out at 80. I saved my non prestige rank 80 config files as I always have. Question is should I just replace the files. I dont care about prestige. Just dont want my account banned. The one kill netted me like 100 million points. Any suggestions would be great.-NVG3D-

It's being done. My son went into a server last week and came out of the server Prestige 10 Rank 80. This was after 5 minutes of being in the server.

Are these not local server ranks?

You used to get this with some mods on cod4, they would rank you up to max after you kill somebody but this didnt affect your normal ranking outside that particular server on a ranked server. I would guess that playing a normal ranked game would show your true (previous) rank???

It wouldn't take too much effort from Activion to set the stat's back to zero for breaching the games rules. DICE are doing this to BF:3 players stat's padding...

There are game rules in CoD on PC for padding? News to me. Plus stats are clientside like MW2 on PC.

Also there are modified exe's for making ranked dedicated servers.

1.4.364 RANKED server files

Ranked version without CPU/ bandwidth checks, works fine at PC LAG FIXED

Not sure about that, but I watched my son do it with a couple of friends the other night. He went in the server, played for about a minute, got out, then went back in, played some more...his score was like 10000000000. When he next exited, he was Prestige 10 Rank 80...and he still is, even when playing P2P. And this is on PC. I've seen some Fast XP servers out there...not sure how they're doing it.

best thing to do is stay clear of mw3 dedis that have around 12 players and ffa gametype set.

as it stands the edited exe can only handle ffa and anything over 12 slots it gets laggy.

i personally cannot see the issue with using this server.exe file if the server is only giving out normal xp to players.

Anyone disagree on this point?

No...As a matter of fact Vampiejay...my son was on a FFA server when he automatically ranked up to max prestige...

Yep...He brought up the Server Browser in-game and connected from there...I can't remember the name of the server...I'll ask him tonight when I get home from work.

You would think after all the past games that have been released. They would stop the ability to create a rank hacked server BEFORE releasing the game.

This has happened on servers in COD games since COD4 as far as I can remember. In all games they have blocked the ability to do this, but way to late, in a patch.

Can not believe the dev teams would not lock this down up front. They lock out admin's from using the 'say' command, but can not stop this up front. Silly.

they did it's just that it's a hacked exe that allows this to happen the best way for them to have stopped it this game was to release ranked dedis
