Ok,

I am confused like heck. I know of two programs that can be used to monitor mohaa servers. they are crow king's auto kick program and serverwatch. I know crow kings autokick is meant for running on windows platforms. I believe serverwatch is meant only for Linux servers, correct me if im wrong though. Now,
If I rent a linux server then I need to install serverwatch onto it which I dont think hosters will be willing to do. or can it be installed on a windows servre box? I have seen lots of windows based servers running crow king's auto kick even when the admins are not in the server. am I to assume that they have it installed on the server or do they leave their computers on 24/7 with crow kings auto kick running on their PCs?

Autokick has an option to run on a different machine. Many did exactly what you describe - took a box (this could be an old PC that no longer has a purpose in life) and just set it up to run autokick 24/7. Documentation on how to do that was in the standard autokick docs.
