Why??? Buying it on Direct2Drive UK does 3 things:

- Its CHEAPER
- Its the same thing as Steam as Homefront is a Steam only title!!!!!
- D2D offers Preloading NOW
Ok didn't know that D2D is cheaper but I still can't see why the issue of availability is still a problem with the UK with Steam?

I think I will however dl it from D2D.

Thanks Zeroy.

Ok I am bit confussed with D2D's checkout system. Now I have added my card details etc but the item just sits there in the basket with no button to proceed with pre-ordering. I have noticed that at the top of the page it says:

Error: Homefront is Country restricted on your IP
So can I not pre-order the game at all at the moment?

Is it me or is D2D cart process awful?

I have been having a poke about on the Play.com site, I have not confirmed the order, My normal confusion of whether they take the money at the point of ordering or when it's despatched... Plus not wanting to get my fingers burnt again with pre-ordered games for them only to become expensive coasters for my coffee.

But from what I can see there is no problem with ordering the disk version here in the UK.

Looks like we need a definitive answer (again!), this isn't just a Steam thing. WTF is going on with THQ here in the UK??? What you don't like the British???

I emailed THQ Support few weeks back also on this, this was the response:

We do not have any information at this time as to when it will be available on the store at all. You could try contacting Steam support, but it is unlikely that they would be able to release this information if they have it.
