help with desktop server

ive set up a bt server from my desktop. but a few minutes into the server runing i get a disconnect icon at the bottom of my screen. and the last line showing in the server is this :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:


SV_FindIndex: overflow error (max=512) when creating "sound/dialogue/Generic/A/damage/dpl_damage_10i.wav1"

SV_FindIndex: overflow error (max=512) is indicative of what I call the too many maps error. When the server starts, it goes through and has to load a ton of stuff which it indexes. If it loads too many, it suffers this overflow error. The solution is to remove unused mods and maps. Keep in mind that BT pulls in not only its own maps, but the maps from SH and AA as well, so dump any "extras" from the mainta and main directories as well.

So far, that seems to have cured the problem for others. Let me know how it works.

:) :) :) i twigged it last night it was a mod called zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzBTSoundfix v1.07 which was causing the problem loaded the server this morning and it works fine
