I have a problem with my client game crashing. I think its related to me connecting to my server though. I made a client log and a server log if this helps any. It happens while loading a map, it will make it all the way but then crash before I actually get into the game.

My server log continues from there with no one in the server. I'm running pure and I can't figure out whats happening. I've had this game for 2 years and its never done this before.

I have seen server side issues when too much stuff attempts to load. I can't really tell if this is what is happening to your client.

A quick check would be to move the entdefs.pk3 to another directory and try again. I don't recall seeing that one.

Can others join your server successfully with the same map running?

I will move entdefs.pk3 to another directory and report back what I find but that file is only for the map editor directly from the mohaa team so I really don't see what harm it could do. I know its hard to tell from the client side becuase the log just stops when it crashes.

I tried moving entdefs.pk3 from both the client and server and the crashing continues. I am not able to tell you if others can connect since my server does not show up in the listings (I'm totally open but it still doesn't work). Any way, it turns out that this happens to me on others server now too so I can no longer post here since the problem is not with the server, obviously. This web site is for server related issues and I apologize.

Just to end this thread on a better note, I fixed the problem. I don't know what cuased it but I did a clean uninstall and clean reinstall of all allied assault games (client side, since thats were the problem really was) and everything is fine now.
