Just got this in the mail:

Dear Customer,

To celebrate the launch of First Strike on the PC, GameServers.com is pleased to announce that Treyarch is giving a free DLC to all PC dedicated server owners! The free DLC will be provided for each Black Ops server(s) that you have in your account. To obtain your free First Strike redeem token, simply follow these instructions:

1. Login to your https://my.gameservers.com control panel
2. Under the Active Subscriptions section, locate your Call of Duty Black Ops subscription and click on the info button
3. On the subsequent page, click on the new link "View Free First Strike redeem token" which has been added to your control panel
4. A pop-up window should show up which will include a message from Treyarch along with a single Free First Strike redeem token. (Instructions on how to use the redeem code has been provided within the pop-up window)

Repeat these steps for each Call of Duty Black Ops server subscription that you have in the account.

* Note: In order to qualify for the free DLC, you will need to have an active Call of Duty Black Ops server subscription on March 25th, 2011 at 9am PST. Call of Duty Black Ops server subscriptions that are not active at this time or new orders made after this time will not qualify for the free DLC
A Gift from Treyarch
To celebrate the launch of First Strike on the PC, Treyarch would like to offer you this FREE redeem token as a 'Thank You' for your commitment to Call of Duty, and your vigilance manning your dedicated server. Simply put, you make the game more fun.

Redeem Code: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
How do I use this redeem code?

Note: This code is for a Steam client. You do not need to use this to upgrade your server. All servers have DLC available automatically, and it is up to you whether or not your server runs the DLC maps.
Thanks again for all your continued support, and happy fragging!

-Treyarch PC Team

Yet another slap in the face of Black Ops players. Wonder how many server owners pre ordered the DLC just to find out it's free for them?

I wouldn't call it a slap. But they should have told everyone before now so that people didn't preorder.

Yea a heads up would have been nice.
I read it as one per server.
It would be nice to have 7 copies for free to give out so I hope that is the case.:p

When i agree the timing isnt ideal if you did Pre-order however I wont start bashing them for giving a free DLC token to server owner. With that said, it sorts of make sense when you think of it.

I was one of the lucky ones, I hadnt ordered prior to getting my email notification. If I had already ordered I would have given my code to someone that needed it. No big deal in my opinion. It was still a nice gesture to those that pay for the servers.

I doubt that since it cost what $14.50 per month for a ranked server or close to that. Why would anyone pay that to get a $14 DLC free?
i did since it was cheaper for us in europe to rent a few servers for a month then buying the dlc.

i can explain and this is weird but steam EU does not handle the dollar price they convert it to euro which is higher then the current dollar but game servers does handle the dollar price so when i rented the servers they cost me 10 euros s a month which is almost 5 euros cheaper than what the dlc would a cost if bought threw steam.

You do know you have given Bobby sleepless nights by using this loop hole?

Strange as one condition was this would only apply to server owner prior to the date that offer started.... Also when it came out the DLC was €12.49, not €15 - and now its €13.99 (in Ireland anyway)
