I wrote this for my clan and this is a copy and paste... Our clan have been disappointed by Warfighter. Not the game play as such but the terrible party system and clunky menu. We generally find it infuriating spending more time dealing with than than playing.

This is was I wrote:

Graphics: Coming from BF:3 it looks a little cartoon~ish however within a few minuets play that feeling goes away. It's not cinematic in the way BF:3 is but in general the graphics are good.

Performance: If runs real smooth, I know I have a monster rig but that said the game runs a fair bit faster than BF:3. On max settings I'm seeing the game hit the 200fps limit, The lowest I have seen is 120. BF:3 dips lower than this for me.

Game Play: What can I say it's CoD! fast fluid game play. I only played Hard core S&D. As such HardCore is proper HC. One or two bullets on target will kill every time. As I was playing S&D so there was no time for people to get the big kill streaks and I didn't see much if any silly crap. Also as everyone was at a lower rank people so that hadn't unlocked the crazy kit.

Maps: They are complex with changes in hight. Small rooms and cut through's off the main routes. There is a mix of long and short range (100m+) and closer stuff. Also there is stuff to climb over and climb on top of. So an area you wouldn't have been able to get to on MoH you can on BO2. So many times in Warfighter I see a place I want to get to but can't, in BO2 you probably can.

Getting in to a game: There is no server browser. It's all quick match and party join. The Quick match works, not my favorite but this is the way games are going. It was real simple I told it what type of thing I wanted and within a few seconds I was in a lobby. Less than 30s I was in a game. Way, way quicker than Warfighter. As I was playing on my own I have no real idea how well the party system works. However the server I was playing on did have a hand full of clan guys. I think they were having TS issues as they were chatting on screen about it. So I guess if they can get on line together I guess we can too. You do spend way less time looking at loading screens than with Warfighter.

To sum it up, It's CoD! Looks nice, runs well, nice maps, people die when you shoot them! Fast and smooth.

Graphics are bad, but in a sense.. Was expecting more. with that being said, ditto to the above. Very fun to play, fast and you die when hit and they die when you hit them. Ive only played HC. It kind of reminds me of a modded COD2 server. fast enough to make it really fun. No lag as of yet.

If you get past the graphics its actually fun.

Lets see how or if the hax ruin it by tomorrow!!

Sorry for the ramble but its 5 am!!:salute:

I cannot say it looks any different than BlackOps 1 did - I did notice a Lens flare while looking at sun. Depth of Field is increased but I use it only on Low. This was a little disappointing as I was expecting more - The graphics options are as limited as always

With that said, it looks good, levels are good as usual Kudos to the Level Designers, some of which come directly from the community of course! (at the exception so far for that Hollywood mansion, layout appears bad at first sight anyway). The levels I played were very detailed, each with their own animated props (like in BO1) which adds to the all experience - Sounds are good also, voices especially as muffle really works. The game runs very smooth, somewhat smoother than BF3 does for me but that can be explain by the smaller levels, etc.

On the gameplay, as Pen said, its COD, to me its the same as all the recent instalments since MW2 so you like or you dont - Im in the middle. HC is where its at for me anyway as in Softcore its worse than ever HUD/gizmos - wise.

Was really expecting a Server Browser but no such thing, its all lobbys - albeit running of dedicated servers we are told. Im not sure how it will pan out for clans to meet, etc.. overall joining a game was lightning fast - way under 20 seconds, 10-15 perhaps - impressive.

Im glad they added a way to remove perks all toghether at the player's wish. Wish everyone would do that :p

On the SP, only played the first 2-3 missions, good story so far - providing you know the last BlackOps SP - very much on rails however as usual and too many real time scene where you just spectate or maybe press "S"

Will I play much of it? I dont think so but probably more than i did BO1 or MW2/3

I am never convinced by the gaming press reviews of 80/90%

It seems to me that many of these companies rely upon some pretty hefty advertising spends by Activision each year.

The buisness models now in place by the mega publishers like EA & Activison have nothing to do with quality or customer satisfaction and everything to do with profit and that means advertising in order to maximise the profit.

Because of that single fact I don't trust the reviews from people who basically need a job from a company that raises much of its revenue from advertising for the same company that produces the very same products they are reviewing!

Draw your own conclusions as to whether these reviews are actually an honest appraisal of the products.

The real tell will be PC Gamer Magazine's review, they gave the last BOPS a low 60's score. I trust the user reviews on meta critic more than the professional ones when it comes to cod.

I'm liking the 360 version my sons bought... I can actually play the console version.
Doubt i'll buy it for PC; I have BF3.

If I need a quick fix, i'll throw it in the XBox but its not my "Go to"

Guys? It's not COD MP. It's mix of CS and BO-1. Tired after 30mins MP gameplay. Sound orientation like hell. MW2-MW3 i can play 2-3 hours :D Single company yes, it's COD+Crysis+HL. I think COD MP is IW product. And no one can do it better.

For the first time a group of us got online together and tested it first hand. There were a couple of hiccups getting us together in a party as we learned the system. Then the first three servers it dumped us in were so laggy they are unplayable.

Then things cleared up and the servers were fine. In the end we went for Hardcore S&D and this was much more to our liking. Given the nature of S&D with no respawn the majority of the kills were down to gun play. Very little of the silly kill streak rewards. When they did happen it felt like a big deal because it wasn't happening all the time, as such we sort of knew they were well deserved.

I can happily report that a bunch of middle aged, old school gamers had a great time. With a mix of tactics, good communication and experience these old fingers and eyes were easily a match for the kiddys. Our individual scores may not have been outrageously high but our team won most times with all of us toward the top of the leader board each match. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as such I can recommend this game, with all it's faults. The Single play is, (within the limitations of CoD) is a very good game. The MP game is a hoot as well.

I have yet to test the Zombie game, as one must look at Black Ops 2 as three self contained games in one package. When you remember that it is three games the price looks a little more interesting. Guys do not dismiss this game out of hand, it's a good solid game and highly entertaining.

Funny to see the critic reviews so high when the user reviews are at 4.0

http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/call-of-duty-black-ops-ii/user-reviews
When it comes to Metacritic User review, its been gone all together ever since MW2 ... all the "0/10" reviews are from people who DO NOT own the game in the first place. I simply dismiss the User score and prefer to rely on the few good press outlet still out there (Mainly Edge / Joystick).

Edit: A random example of someone giving 0/10 for Xbox360 review: http://www.metacritic.com/user/Raskolnikov - Enuff' said.

I have no idea how anyone could finish SP,play enough Zombies or MP to really judge the game intelligently at this point. This whole race to peg the game within a day or two of release is just stupid. SP so far is just what you would expect from a AAA game that we have been exposed to for a long time now. It's just what it is. Suspend some belief and enjoy. The Zombies is Zombies with some superficial differences and laggy hosts like always. I have not played MP and my expectations are more of the same.

It's not bad it's just more of the same for me. I can get a lot of gameplay out of it I think.

You know BF4 will feel like more of the same too.

I am still working on MOHW and frankly the quality differences are not that great.

If you read the Kotaku review you would think Treyarch recreated the FPS and moved the heavens.

IMO BF3 is a much much better game.
But totally different one at that. I wish gamers would judge a game on its own merits - granted, doing a compare with previous version help.

Without sounding like a BO2 Fanboi however I'd have to disagree with iBleed, yes its more of the same but very refined this time around. There are subtle changes and improvements that go a long way ... The lack of Server Browser and static Playlists I found very annoying but other than this the game is enjoyable.
