Fear the Lord Christian Gaming Recruiting

Fear the Lord is a Christian Gaming Community that invites players to comes as they are, not as they ought to be. Too often the misconception is that Christians are perfect, the reality is that we all fall short of the glory of God. We are simply Christians because we are not perfect and we desperately need the salvation only Christ can provide. Our stance is simple. Share the gospel of Christ by our actions, and when necessary, use words.

A Christian Gaming Community, is that a joke?
Believe it or not we get question a lot. No, its not a joke. Why would it be? Christianity is not a religion, although a lot of times thats how people live it out. Christianity is a relationship with God and a lifestyle that reflections that. A goal as a Christian community is to set standards of respect, morals, and maturity that most communities consider inadequate to the growth of their clan/guild and the impact it has on people.

What does a membership with FtL look like?
Fear the Lord is looking to grow and expand, if you are someone who interested in helping to mold a community from the ground up, this is the place to do it. Either as a Member or as an Officer

- Officer positions available
- Open to expanding games quickly
- Ministry and fellowship with believers
- Mature community with adult leaders
- Professional custom website, forum, and community profile
- Point System for Purchasing Steam Game Keys from our Shop
- Quality game servers for games that require them
- Organized and structured, while maintaining a laid back environment
- We place real life, family, and our relationship with Christ first
- and much more!

Do I have to be a Christian to join?
There are a lot of Christian communities that only allow believers and there is nothing wrong with that, however, FtL has always believed in presenting a family friendly environment. Anyone who is willing to follow and maintain our rules is welcome to join.

Do you have any servers?
Currently we use Discord for our activities, feel free to drop line!
In the future, as we grow into competitions, we are open to expanding into more dedicated VoIP.
All U.S. Based

What about a website?
Sure thing!
come sign up and say hi!

What games do you play?

Currently we play Counter-Strike:GO, CS 1.6, and Minecraft. We have servers for all 3 of them. We would love for us to expand into an MMORPG, however that will require an Officer (hint hint) to lead and help us recruit down that path.

Our Road Map for the Future:

This is what we want FtL to look like in 1 year from now. Most of this requires an active membership and leaders who are willing to dedicate sometime in ministry.

- Have an active community of 50 members
- Active in 3 categories of Games (FPS, MOBA, & MMORPG)
- Have at least one competitive team
- Host 2 weekly bible studies
- Multiple weekly scheduled gaming events
- Regularly schedule PVP events with other Christian clans/guilds (if game mechanics allow)
- and so much more...

How many members do you currently have?

We have 8 members, all original when we started FtL back in 2002. U.S. Based and Northern America. There are no membership fees.

You're pretty new, how do I know this will succeed?
In fairness, you don't. We plan our ways, but God directs our path (Proverbs 16:9). I pray that God will make alive this ministry, because I feel there has been a huge drop in Christian communities over the years, so I like to think of this as a Church Plant on South Gaming Boulevard. However, I can tell you, I know what im doing.

In my personal life I have served in Church ministry for nearly 14 years and I am a Firefighter/EMT, which takes perseverance and determination everyday. Those are some areas of my life that represent accomplishing goals and overcoming struggle. When I started Fear the Lord back in 2002, God guided it into a very successful christian organization. He brought us members from all over the world, blessed us with dedicated servers, a sponsorship with Art of War Central, had 2 teams go on to CAL (Cyber Athlete Amature League) and even had organized LAN parties before it was cool. We registered as a Non-for-profit and participated in real world ministries where we partnered with local churches. Unfortunately, real life events pulled most of the leadership away around 2010 and sadly we had to shut our doors.

It is my hope that you will help me. If you agree that we need more Christians in the gaming world, who are willing to go out of their safe spaces and comfort zones, then I ask you to join me.
