Create a new config file. Lets call it tweak.cfg. Copy all that to the new config file.

Place it in the config folder. Now start Crysis with the command line: crysis.exe +exec tweak

Or just add +exec tweak to your Crysis shortcut.
Or put that line into a bat file in your bin32 folder and make a new shortcut to it.

* Note 1, Vista support sucks for both DX10 and DX9, however running this config in DX9 mode under XP will give you almost the same visuals as DX10 under Vista.

* Note 2, Always back up the original

Did you get this to work under Vista 64 Bit at all Rude?

I had to alter the startup link to work the 32 bit executable under Vista64 bit in order to get anything but a black screen and "not responding" ... :undecided

ie - changed to: ...\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis SP Demo\Bin32\Crysis.exe

Just found out on my other board, if your running the new nV 64 drivers that where just released, roll them back. That is causing a lot of problems for people.

Make sure you use driver sweeper (like using driver cleaner which is not a paid program)

Lol... nice... thanks!

I specifically applied that new driver just because it was supposed to be for Crysis... :undecided

I'll remove it when I get home and try it out again.

P.S. some interesting tweaks on the Crysis forums at this location...

http://www.crysis-online.com/forum/index.php?topic=11837.0#msg203789

...If you tweak the configuration files in \CVarGroups\ by copying and pasting the "very high" settings (1st paragraph) IN PLACE of the "high" settings (last paragraph) the game will load the highest possible settings even though the drop-down menus display "high.".

To remove the videos at the start go to:

?:\Program Files\Games\crysis\Game\Localized\Video

and delete all the files in the video folder (backup of course)

Takes you straight to the menu screen.

Thanks for posting up this article. I am one of the creators of the CCC.
I created the Time of Day's, and our new CCC 2.0 will be releasing soon. I'll be sure to have someone let you know about it if you want to check it out. I've already finished the 2.0 ToD's, just waiting on everyone else to complete their parts.

The new Time of Day is a gigantic improvement over 1.31, but it still keeps the darker nights the CCC is known for. I've paid close attention to every aspect this time around. Colorgrading adds a hint of saturation which makes any given scene come to life. SSAO accurately shadows objects very realistically. Scenes are more vibrant and life-like, and our new shadow settings are no-longer ultra-sharp to give a more realistic feel. They also perform better as well.

Hope you've enjoyed the CCC, as it's only going to get better.

Oh, one more thing. This time around, we have three new Delta difficulty tweaks which makes the enemy more responsive, alert, a bit more accurate, and it all just adds up to a more challenging and rewarding experience.
