Not the pak1.pak3 file in my File Manager on my online server.....But can I edit the pak1.pak3 files that were installed by the MOHAA BT CD the day I installed it on my CPU. This would allow me to edit those at will and upload them to my online server... instead of the 24hr wait it takes to DL the files from my servers File Manager so I can edit them to upload them back to server.

Does such an operation require some software or drivers I must DL off the Internet to be able to edit my PC's MOHAA BT Files......

Winzip will open the pk3 so you can extract, edit, and update the contents. Just use the versions you have installed locally and upload them to the server. No need to download from the server.

Some advice - don't edit those files until you know what you are doing.

Also, don't put the edited files back into the pk3. Instead put them into a new zip file that starts with user (like "usermods.pk3"). Winzip will create your new archive as a .zip file, just rename it to a .pk3 file. This way you can remove "mistakes" without messing with the main pk3s. Your usermod.pk3 will also be much smaller than one of the standard pk3s that come with the game so it will be much quicker to upload.

oh no i dont know what winzip to buy????

Hey man the winzip9.0 for 29$ is the one i need to edit the pak1.pk3 files right... or do i need some other. Because I dont have winzip on my cpu but my right click menu has the options to send to zip folder and extract to folder. But when I choose Edit after extracting the text that comes up is crazy I cant configure that as easy as DM flags.
Do I need winzip to be able to view the text more simple for editting puposes..:(

Anything that can handle a zip file should work, including the freebies (and there are plenty). Have not tried using XPs built in ability to expand a file.
