2 months and 1 billion dollars later we got those updates along with:

1887 Akimbo re-balanced
- Prestige Glitch fixed
- Private match glitch fixed
- Hacked Textures fixed
- Altered IWD's fixed
- Javlin Bug Fixed
Activision Blizzard, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) announced today that Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 continues to set sell-through records crossing the $1 billion mark in retail sales worldwide since its launch in November, according to internal Activision estimates.
You think for 1 billion they would release something better.

They do have a lot of glitch fixes don't they...

For some reason this is listed as the only patch release via steam so far. Don't forget all those devs coming in on their holiday vacation to work on the game.

...... must have been one guy :undecided

So forgive me if i'm wrong but they are only preventing pirated players playing with legit players not banning them totally i thought that iwnet was supposed to prevent this anyway?

It prevents the pirated players from playing with legit players. However they can use older versions of the game and still play.

That isn't a big issue as the hackers who have been caught etc will play the pirated version (IWnet anti-cheat at work).

This is what peaked my interest, seems IWnet sends your external and internal IP to everyone when the other player is searching for a game in the lobby.

Sad state of affairs that this is all they have done after raking in mountains of cash from gamers...

Meanwhile in Belleview the TF2 devs pump out content like their lives depend on it. :D Everyone should buy at least 3 copies and gift them to show our support.
