All I hope for is that the lobby system is better than Warfighter. That's the thing that is pissing most of my lot off the most. The game play is fast and feels great but the amount of time we spend trying to get the clan together to play on the same server as a party is stupid. We also spend far too long looking a loading screens compared to playing.

We can confidently expect BO2 to have fast fluid game play, the kicker will be the speed and ease of use of the lobby. Given that we will not be able to have our own server. Well from my clan mates point of view.

Black Ops II PC
Known Issues - We have some fixes coming, but we wanted to make you aware of these issues right away in case they affect you:

  • A crash may occur if no DLC is owned when joining on a player that is in the Nuketown 2025 lobby.
  • Having both an on-board audio device and a PCI sound card enabled at the same time may result in a crash.
  • A crash may occur if the user tries to run the game without an audio device installed.
  • Changing resolution while livestreaming may result in a crash.
  • When viewing a film as a party, users may get a crash if the party leader leaves while the film is buffering.
  • Loading Movies might not play if a user unplugs a USB audio output device after the game has launched.
  • Users may lose functionality after locking their PC while a loading movie is playing
  • A steam error may appear after selecting update when prompted with a “Game Settings Have Changed” message. Launching the game again will resolve this.

Happy Fragging!

That's amazing that Treyarch would even attempt to enforce these rules instead of having dedicated servers. Very strange.

I will never agree with. It is the responsibility to the game maker to make sure this doesnt happen, right? And if it does, to take the map offline immediately and fix.

Offensive Live Streams or Unauthorized Live Stream Content

Any user who is found to have offensive or unauthorized content in their live stream is subject to penalty. Offensive content includes but is not limited to foul language, racially charged language, and nudity. This will be interesting ... foul language and copyright content especially. Surely that would be Youtube's job (on PC anyway)?

Unlocked bang on time here in the UK, Midnight. Once a few more d/l's were negotiated I was up & running.

Played PUB CORE MP for approx 2 hrs from launch. I must admit I was impressed. Partied up with 3 other clan mates, picked a game type, joined a server via the matchmaking. It worked quickly & flawlessly. Game play is fast paced. Didn't see or come across any bugs or glitches but early days yet!

All weapons look & feel pretty lethal even in CORE. The automated stuff you can call in is pretty easy to deal with one way or another.

The menu system is smooth & relatively easy to navigate once you use it a couple of times. The numbers were suprisingly low. At approx 2am there were only 6,000+ worldwide on PC. Probably be a lot more today when the kids get hold of it after school.

So, first impressions are quite positive
